Intuitive navigation. The primary navigation is typically deployed in a horizontal menu bar at the top of the website. Providing secondary navigation below the primary navigation bar in a different area for example in the sidebar can create an option to display links to other related pages on the website.

Why is intuitive navigation so important? Users want to get to the information they are looking for as quickly as possible. Confusing navigation layouts will result in people giving up on a website instead of trying to figure it out where the content they are looking for might be found. Place less important page links at the bottom of a page in the footer so they don’t distract the user.
