Adrift in a Sea of Website Marketing Information?

Business owners and staff can get overwhelmed with the amount of marketing content related to websites, search engines and social media. It can feel like they are drifting on a sea of ever changing information. It is a web development company’s job to toss a life vest and educate and inform their clients about new online tools that will bring more inbound customers.

This is a sample of a conversation with a business owner who was not getting calls from new customers from their website. They had heard about us and was interested in how we could help.

“I am glad that another happy customer of mine suggested you and I get together. After taking a look at your website, I am happy to give you a consultation. Since your site is not mobile friendly, I assume that it was built some years ago. Probably pre-2010?

Having a dated website can mean the following for your business:
• When customers do a search for a new dentist online, your business is not showing up in the first few pages of a Google search. In fact, Google has added some new parameters to the search game. They don’t even rank a site that is not mobile friendly, and now are ranking higher if you have a more security on your site. Statistics show that the majority of searchers will move on if they don’t find what they are looking for in the first two pages of a search. Maybe even you have done that before?
• With the insurgence of smart phones, most people are using their phone to do the majority of business transactions, including choosing a doctor. If you have to zoom in to see website text, that is your first clue that it is not mobile friendly, nor responsive. People make decisions on first impressions of a website. If it is hard to read ( not mobile friendly) or looks dated, customers move on quickly.

These are just two possible reasons that you are not getting potential business from the internet. With a clean professional website, good content, Search Engine Optimization, and social media, your website should start working for you. I would like to set up another meeting with you to go into specifics of what I would suggest for your business’s web presence. Here is my card. Take a look at our website, and portfolio. I will contact you to set up our appointment.”

We were able to educate the customer, create a plan, and are currently building a responsive professional custom website, which will be HIPAA compliant, have optimized content, and a blog to help with content generation.

If you know a business owner that feels adrift in the sea of web information and would like help navigating, 360 WEB DESIGNS would be happy to captain the ship for them.
