Sometimes though, it’s not enough to just have the tutorial session. There is a lot to remember and everyone’s mileage may vary when it comes to understanding technology. So we made a list of WordPress blogging tips just for you!

Blogging Is Important!

Blogging is one of the more important parts of your site. When you share your knowledge about what you do in writing, it says a lot about your company. It shows that you know your stuff and that your readers can definitely learn something new from reading about what you do! Updating your site with new information also indicates to Google that your site is active, and that benefits your site’s SEO.

Here is some information we give our clients to help them get started with making their blogs. Not sure how to even start a blog on your site? No problem! We can show you how to add a blog post on your WordPress site too!

If you ever forget what you need when you’re writing that new post, make sure to re-read the list here:

• Make sure your blogs are at least 300 words long. This is good for readability and SEO.
• Have a keyphrase ready for your blog before writing to keep track of your points in the blog.
• Make sure your key phrase is in your title, URL, and meta description.
• Use headers to organize your blog into the main points and sub-main points.
• The URL should be 3-4 words long. If you forget to shorten it before posting, you can leave it alone. Try to shorten your URLs before you publish your blog.
• Your featured images should be 800×400 pixels and less than 1mb. If the image is in kb, it should be okay.
• Once you have a good number of blogs running, try to link related articles to your new article if it is relevant.
• Share your blog on your social media.
