There are certain safety concerns when it comes to repairs on your garage door, such as rebalancing\/replacing springs, replacing broken hardware, and setting the limits on the garage door. Without proper training these services can be dangerous . We highly recommend calling our office to schedule an appointment when one of these services are needed at your home.<\/p>\n<p>One thing you can do yourself at home, is realign your safety reversing sensors. Here are a couple steps that may help if your garage door isn&#8217;t closing due to safety reversing sensor alignment:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Locate both safety reversing sensors, they are located on each side of the garage door, fastened to the door tracks,\u00a0no higher than 6 inches above the garage floor.<\/li>\n<li>Loosen\u00a0the wing nut on the front of the sensor, align the sensor so their lenses are pointing at each other. When the sensor LED glows\u00a0steadily, tighten the wing nut.<\/li>\n<li>Once both of the safety reversing\u00a0sensor LED\u2019s are glowing steadily, the garage door opener will resume normal operation.<\/li>\n<li>Test by using your remote control or door control to close the garage door.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>When it comes to servicing your garage door, there are things you can do yourself, and there are things you should leave up to the professionals.
